Yoga with Katy

Inclusive Yoga Classes for all in the Cotswolds.

If you can breathe.

You can do Yoga.

No matter what your age, looks, ability, you are so welcome at any of my classes. I have trained in chair yoga so can always adapt poses to suit your ability. And you absolutely DO NOT need to be able to touch your toes! Just an open heart and mind.

Classes every Monday night at Draycott Mission hall, Draycott.

Public Yoga Class near Blockley/Moreton-in-Marsh

When & Where?

Monday evenings 5.30 - 6.30pm.

Draycott Mission hall, Draycott, GL56 9LF - there's lots of on-street parking, toilets and water available to fill up your bottle.

Draycott is a very small hamlet and therefore there is no road name. However, the postcode should take you to the correct road (the one with the red phone and post box) and then you will find the hall on the left hand side after passing 7 houses.

What to bring?

Comfortable clothing, a yoga/sports mat, water & an open mind & heart. If you need a yoga mat (I only have a few available) or have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Cost?

All classes are £12 drop-in (cash - please bring the correct amount) or you can buy a Six Class Pass for £65 online – passes are valid for 2 months and will need to be paid via bank transfer. Please email me katy@eastern-promise.com for the bank details.

Feel Good

Any yoga classes you do with me whether public, private or corporate will make you Feel Good, not only through the magic of yoga but because you'll be giving back to those less financially stable than yourselves. 20% is put into the Feel Good Foundation, offering those less financially able to access the same classes as you.

If you or anyone you know would benefit from the scheme, please get in touch. All correspondence will be kept completely confidential.

But I can't touch my toes...

It is a complete myth that to do yoga you need to be flexible. The poses you see are only a small part of what Yoga is, it is an ancient practice rich in philosophy, breathwork, meditation and lots of life lessons too. Therefore, whether you have a disability, are super flexible, 90 years old or really struggling with your mental health - Yoga is for YOU.

My Yoga Story

My personal yoga journey began in 2014 at a time when I was frazzled and stressed from the hectic and demanding London life which manifested itself in poor health. The transformation I have gone through since then has been incredible. In September 2018 I took the plunge and began my 200-hr teacher training with Yoga London. The reason for doing so was in many regards inexplicable, all I knew was that I wanted to share the benefits with others. I truly believe yoga is for everyone and you definitely don't need to be flexible, skinny or on a beach to get the benefits.

Yoga allows us to become more in tune with who we are, what we are part of and what work needs to be done; be it physically, mentally or spiritually. It allows us to become grateful for even the simplest things and to give fresh perspective on a life which often has become so over-complicated and filled with stress and anxieties. This can be done through physical movement, taking your body in to places it normally doesn’t experience on a day to day basis. It can be done through becoming aware of the breath, deepening, slowing down and tuning into our inner world. It can be done through practicing gratitude and the lessons that every life experience gives us. Yoga is a rich, life-long journey and each person’s journey and practice will be a different one. So I'd love you to join me on a mat or chair soon.
